Repairing and restoring cloudy and hazy headlights with plastic lenses.
Pissing around out in the shop the other day I wanted to buff up the blinker assemblies on the van. They had a yellow haze to them and I wanted to see if I could get the haze off using regular polishing compound. And….., it worked. These are the results.
I just put some on a rag and made small circular motions on the lens. Essentially you are buffing it out and cleaning the lens. Elbow grease is needed.
I think they turned out better than they were, almost like new.
I have also seen that this could be done with tooth paste. (us the actual paste, not the semi-clear gel tooth paste)
